Jupiter and the Milky Way
Dark skies on the coast of Maine
Jupiter and the Milky Way glow over the coast of Maine while I was teaching a workshop back in 2019. I finally got around to editing it just a few days ago.
Nikon Z 7 with NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8 lens @ f/2.8, 14mm. Sky: 20 exposures at ISO 4000, 10 seconds, stacked in Starry Landscape Stacker for low noise. Foreground: Single exposure at ISO 1600 for 10 minutes
Come photograph this scene at my October workshop, more details below.
Maine Milky Way Workshops
There are only 2 spots left in my late season Milky Way photography workshop in Lubec, Maine, 2 hours east of Acadia National Park.
Oct 11-13 (3 nights, leave on 14th)
This is a landscape photography workshop, with a focus on landscape astrophotography with the Milky Way as conditions permit. This area is also a great place for dramatic sunrises and sunsets, with lobster boats, lighthouses, harbors, and rugged coastline as our foreground.
We will also drive over the bridge to Campobello Island, part of Canada, for a sunset trip -- so bring your passport!
